Yesterday was a very special day. New Life Academy gave a very nice Retirement Celebration for my mom. She has been at New Life for the past 30 years. She began as a first grade teacher, and then was the Elementary Principal for the past 24 years.
Many people shared so many wonderful things about my mom. I was so proud to sit and listen to all the stories and accomplishments that she has done.
She had letters from Bill Hargis the Woodbury Mayor, and Tim Pawlenty the Governor of Minnesota that were read. ACSI awarded her a Lifetime Achievement Award for her years of service in the Ministry of Christian School Education. It was fun to see so many people there to give tribute to my mom. Former teachers and staff came from 5 different states!
Colleen Erickson did an excellent job decorating. It looked amazing!
These were so good! They also had a chocolate fountain.
Here is my mom and grandma.
Here is my mom with her 6 grandkids.
And a final picture with our whole family
It was a proud time for our family!

Congratulations to your Mom for a job well done! It is obvious that she has always been your greatest teacher! I agree, the decorations were gorgeous and the food looked delicious!
