Puzzle Card

When I saw the Love You To Pieces Stamp set and Puzzle Dies, I knew I wanted to get them right away.  We love puzzles at our house.  We often have one going on our table.  For the card I designed, I used our new embossing mats.  They allow you to use your thinlits to emboss images using the Big Shot.  I own so many thinlits, so this gives me so many mote options!  

 

For the card, I used the thinlit the traditional way to cut out the puzzle pieces using smoky slate card stock.  I then got out my thicker silicone embossing mat and used the same puzzle to emboss on the Basic Gray card stock.  The then adhered a few of the smoky slate pieces to the embossed puzzle.

I made a video to show how the embossing mats work.  They are $15 and you get a base place and a thin and thicker silicone mat.  The thicker mat gives a deeper impression.  For very detailed thinlits, I like to use the thinner silicone mat.

 

 

Think of the fun cards you can make for kids where you put a message on the puzzle that they have to put together.
