Abstract Impressions Card

Stampin Up offers several suites in the catalog.  They each have several items that all coordinate.  One of my favorite suites in the catalog is Abstract Impressions. The thinlits designer series paper and stamp set have so many possibilities! For this card I used  2 of our new colors, Shaded Spruce and Mango Melody.  

 

For the flower, I used Calypso Coral and first stamped off on a scrap piece of paper and then stamped the shaded flower for the base of the flower, and then I stamped directly on the paper with the more detailed part of the flower.  That gives you 2 different shades using the same stamp pad.  

 

The top piece I stamped all over to create a background, and then on the bottom right side I used a piece of the Garden Impressions designer series paper.  I love how much it ads to the card!  I cut the piece 3" x 2' so I can get 6 out of one 6X6 piece of card stock.   

I have used Shaded Spruce on several of the cards I have made lately.  I love how bright the green is.  If you haven't seen our new colors yet, check my website: www.kristenbryant.stampinup.net
