Yesterday I was home with a sick kid so I decided to get creative. I am trying to send out a lot of cards to encourage others and wanted to make some quick note cards. To add a little color I did a technique I decided to call Spritzed Block Stamping. I made a 2 minute video to show how to do it. It is not the greatest quality video but you can see how to do the technique. I am trying to teach my kids how to video me:)
This first card I made using The Sheltering Tree stamp set, Old Olive, Island Indigo, and Pool Party stamp pads. I inked up block H with three different colors and then spritzed it before stamping with the block. I let the wet ink roll a little to blend in the colors. I then pressed the block down firmly on my note card. Before picking up the block I rocked it a little bit to make sure ink covered the whole surface. Wait a couple minutes for the card to dry before stamping an image on top of it. I used Early Espresso ink for the tree and greeting.
For this next card I used A Happy Thing stamp set, Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, and Coastal Cabana stamp pads. I stamped the bird and greeting with Night of Navy.
On this final card I used A Happy Thing, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Crushed Curry stamp pads.
Have fun trying this fun technique. No two cards will turn out the exact same.
Happy Stamping!
