The leaves in Minnesota are turning right now, and it is so pretty! Each day it looks a little different. I just love Fall leaves. I wanted to create a card using the leaves in Colorful Seasons with different shades in it. There are a few ways you can do this, but I chose to use stamp pads and a spritzer.
To do this, pick 2 or more colors of stamp pads and stamp starting with the lightest color first. Take the second color and add it around the edges and a little in the middle. Spray a little water on the stamp. If you get to much water on it, you will not get a good defined image. I suggest trying it on scrap paper first. Clean your stamp off each time so you do not wreck your lighter stamp pad.
I made a quick video to show how to do this:
You can use this same technique for any solid stamp. It looks great on flowers too.
Here is the finished card. The Early Espresso is 4 1/8 X 1 1/2". I used Thick Vanilla card stock since the stamp would be a little wet. The thick card stock holds up much better when things are a little damp. The Vanilla card tock is 3 3/4x 3 3/4. I LOVE the new copper trim.
I used the products listed below to make this card.
