I have really liked working with the Garden Impressions Suite. The Abstract Impressions stamp set, Springtime Impressions Thinlit dies and Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper Stack give you so many options. I wanted to design a card that used the Thinlit traditional way- to cut out, and then also to emboss with the embossing mat. This is what I came up with.
I folded the card in 1/2, and then folded the front flap back. I opened up the card and then use the butterfly thinlit and embossing mat to emboss the butterfly on the inside of the card.
I made a quick video to show how easy this is to do. The embossing mat is just $15 and it gives you many more options for embossing.
The Designer Series Paper Stack gives you so many great colors to work with. I have been using our new color Shaded Spruce quite a big. It is a great green! A tip for assembling: When attaching the Melon Mambo butterfly, I just put adhesive on the left side so I didn't tape the card shot. Don't forget to add 3 rhinestone jewels to the butterfly. It adds a little bling to the card.
The products I used are shown below.
