Free Standing Pop Up Card Instructions

25 Jun

I made this pop up card for my nephew’s birthday.  I just got the Patterned Party stamp set and am going to use it for my next Stamps in the Mail.

To make this pop up card it is very helpful to have Simply Scored.  You score a 4 ¼ X 11 piece of card stock at:

 1", 2 3/4", 3 3/4", 5 1/2", 7 1/4", 8 1/4", and 10"

Turn the card stock and at the 5 ½ scored line, cut from ¾”-3 ½”

Put Sticky Strip on the top and bottom sections of the scored card stock.

Stamp a Whisper White 2 ½ X 5 ¼” piece of card stock, and layer on a 2 ¾ X 5 ½” piece of card stock.

Put the stamped piece through the cut section and place on the folded up section that has sticky strip.

Take off the sticky strip off the other end, and line it up with the bottom.  Here is a side view.

Add any embellishments you like.  I used the new Argyle Embossing Folder, 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" Circle Punch, and 1 3/8" Circle Punch.

This is how it looks as you pull it out of an envelope.  Simply push down on the top the Raspberry Ripple Card Stock and your card will "pop up"!

What other sets do you think would work well with this layout?

Happy Stamping!
